  • Compliant to the IDL to C++11 v1.5 language mapping
  • Partial support for IDL 4.2 map, int8/uint8, explicitly-named integer types, bitmask, bitset, empty struct, and struct inheritance extensions
  • Brix11 scaffolding support
  • Suite of unit tests and examples

TAOX11 v2.6.0 also includes the following major improvements:

  • Added support for Visual Studio 2022
  • Upgraded the required C++ standard to C++17
  • Extended support for IDL 4.2 extensions
  • Added a base library which enables projects to use IDL to C++11 generated types without linking any ACE/TAO/TAOX11 libraries
  • Reduced size of generated code
  • Removed workarounds for older, broken compilers
  • Upgraded ACE/TAO/MPC dependencies

This release has also been internally ported to the Embarcadero C++ Builder 13.0 bcc64x compiler. This new port requires customer sponsoring for release into the open source repositories.
